Let's do the Lucknow salsa
They moved with grace, they grooved with attitude and they seemed lost...in each others company and in the dance form.
And its not just about one couple... almost all the participants exhibited this sizzling chemistry at Fiesta Latina, the annual event of a premiere dance institute.
Performing live to a packed audience, the couples moved almost magically across the dance floor.

But to witness this beautiful evening one had to pay a price. And that price was in the form of an hour-long delay.
The chief guest of the evening, Dr Sucharita Khanna, a performing artiste from Kanpur, lit the inaugural lamp.
Director of the dance institute Bhupendra Nigam and founder director Manjusha Nigam not only acted as perfect hosts but also played fair judges.
The evening was dedicated to Latin-inspired dances such as the Salsa, Merengue, and Lambada. The spectators were also treated to some item-dance performances from Puja Rastogi. She set the stage on fire with her moves on the song Chaliya. The dance tashan further continued with Mahaks Hip-Hop move on Move your body and Vimleshs desi ishtyle on Nagada-Nagada.

Apart from all the hip and jazz, the evening also witnessed participants being given different titles and awards. Gurpreet Singh Saluja and Divya Singh were given the title of Best Dressed Couple.
And while Rahul Arora and Neha Vajpeyi won the first prize in basic level of Lambada and Merengue,
Nitin Khurana and Bhavya Mukerji won the first prize in the basic level of Salsa. While Saurabh Rastogi and Smita Verma clinched the first prize in the intermediate level of Lambada and Salsa, Manas Pandey and Shalini Pawah recieved the first prize in the intermediate level of Merengue.
